Meet ‘The Titan’, the IFSC accredited competition wall designed by EP Climbing in collaboration with the International Federation of Sport Climbing. Boulder Exe is one of a handful of walls in the UK to feature this cutting edge wall – bringing world class competition bouldering to the heart of the South West.

The Titan’s breakthrough shape is designed to maximise route setting opportunities, provide the best viewing angles and create a space that meets the needs of international competitors and local climbers alike. The wall debuted at the Bern 2023 World Championships before taking stage at the Paris 2024 games. Now you can experience the excitement and innovation that climbing on the Titan offers.

The Ground Floor at Boulder Exe

Designed to complement The Titan feature, the Ground Floor offers a vast array of wall angles from -6 degree slabs to 30 degree overhangs and features problems with grades from VB to V 7+ offering something for climbers of all abilities.

Our route setting team have designed a range of problems that cover a variety of bouldering styles using holds and volumes that reflect the very best of hold design available today. There is ample space for everyone to find something to suit their style – whether you’re seeking technical slab climbing or steep overhangs, this has it all for everyone to enjoy.

The Mezz at Boulder Exe

The adventure continues upstairs on The Mezz! With a further 100 problems for you to try, the Mezz is a great space for practice and challenge. The Mezz packs a punch in its use of space – walls feature angles from -5 degrees to an impressive 72 degrees. Our route setters have made the most of the space, setting an array of creative routes that focus more on conventional climbing styles in contrast to the competition style problems on the ground floor.

The space features a designated beginners area for groups or those wanting to find their feet away from the crowds as well as a technical run featuring higher graded routes and more complex angles. It’s a space that encourages newcomers and experienced climbers to train side by side.

What’s more, there’s fantastic views of The Titan and all the action on the Ground Floor – a perfect viewpoint for a break from the wall or for competition days!
